Equipment Guidelines

The women’s field game is non-contact, therefore protective equipment is not required.

Players may wear shoes with plastic, metal, leather or rubber cleat/studs. Spikes are not permitted.

All players including the goalkeeper must wear a mouthguard - which should NOT be white or clear.

As of 2020, goggles are mandatory.


The goalkeeper must wear a helmet with face mask, a throat protector and a chest or body pad. She may also wear padded gloves, arm pads and leg pads.

Stick – When the ball is dropped into the pocket, the top of the ball must remain even with or above the top of the walls. The goalkeeper’s stick has no restriction on depth of pocket however, the ball must be able to move freely with all parts of the pocket.
