BEDFORD, NS - July 20, 2025 - Bluenose Field Lacrosse is thrilled to announce the appointment of the incredibly accomplished Maki Jenner as its new Head of Player Development. This significant addition to the leadership team signals a major step forward in the organization's commitment to fostering elite talent and providing top-tier guidance for its athletes.
Jenner brings a wealth of experience from the highest levels of competitive lacrosse in both Canada and the United States. Her extensive and successful playing career provides a roadmap for aspiring young athletes. Highlights of her on-field achievements include:

NCAA Division I Scholarship Athlete at the University of Denver (2019-2020)
NCAA Division II Scholarship Athlete at Concordia St. Paul University (2020-2022)
Beyond her decorated playing career, Jenner has dedicated herself to giving back to the game through coaching and professional roles. She has served as an Assistant Coach for Saanich Tigers Box Lacrosse and holds a unique, front-line perspective on the professional game in her current role as the Sideline Reporter and Communications Manager for the Halifax Thunderbirds of the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

"Her experience as an elite NCAA athlete, her national-level recognition, and her current involvement with the professional lacrosse community here in Halifax make her the ideal person to lead our player development. She understands exactly what it takes to succeed, and our players will benefit immensely from her knowledge and passion."
In her new role as Head of Player Development, Jenner will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive skill development programs for all age groups within the Bluenose organization. She will focus on advancing technical skills, fostering tactical understanding and lacrosse IQ, and creating a clear pathway for players aspiring to compete at the university level and beyond.
"I am beyond excited to join the Bluenose Field Lacrosse family," said Jenner. "This is an amazing opportunity to give back to the sport I love and to help develop the next generation of talented players here in Nova Scotia. My goal is to build a program that not only hones elite skills but also fosters confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for the game. I can't wait to get started."
