How many players are on a team?
U11/U13 play a 7 vs. 7 cross field game and will have a max of 15 players per team.
U15 and U19 divisions will play 10 vs 10 full field game and have a maximum of 20 players on a team.
Where are sessions held?
Harbour East Turf in Dartmouth (next to RBC arena)
Do we play rain or shine?
Games and practices on Harbour East turf will be rain or shine. In extreme weather conditions the lead coach for your division will issue a cancellation notice. If you do not receive a cancellation notice, your session will be going ahead as scheduled.
Is it a competitive league?
Our league is designed to teach players the fundamentals of women's field lacrosse. Teams will have a range of skill levels from new players to experienced players. Previous lacrosse experience is not necessary!
My child wants to play goalie, but I do not have any equipment.
Awesome! Goalie equipment is provided by the league for the season and we provide goalie instruction.
What equipment is required?
Women’s field lacrosse game is non-contact, therefore protective equipment is not required aside from a mouthguard and goggles.
Players may wear shoes with plastic or rubber cleat/studs.
The goalkeeper must wear a helmet with face mask, a throat protector and a chest or body pad. She may also wear padded gloves, arm pads and leg pads.
